Overhead Crane Service Mechanic

Ayers-USA Crane Services (Fairhope, AL) seeks qualified, motivated, self-starter with a great work history to perform overhead crane maintenance, repairs, installations and inspection. In addition you will be responsible for completing all required documentation and communicating with the customer.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Communication, organization and task supervisory skills. Must have the ability to assess and control all field-related activities including electrical inspections and troubleshooting including mechanical knowledge. Must have the ability to work with incomplete or ambiguous information to attain the end result of the customer requirements without supervision.

EDUCATION:
Minimum a Trade School with a curriculum in AC power control and wiring. Covering frequency inverter controls, AC circuits, digital fundamentals, solid-state devices, linear integrated circuits, industrial electronics, motor controls, microprocessors, programmable controls and control technology.

Ayers-USA Crane Services is seeking candidates with the following:

• Prefer prior crane maintenance or industrial electrical experience.
• An AS, BS or equivalent technical training in electrical components and systems is a plus.
• Must have experience with industrial AC/DC motors, motor controls and power distribution.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• No fear of heights.
• A good driving record.
• Strong people skills.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements for climbing, standing, lifting and working at heights.
• Willingness to travel within the Gulf South Region and work some weekends as needed.
